3d Scanning is the process of using a 3d scanning to capture the shape of an object. From this capturing process, the resultant data can be used for reverse engineering, inspection analysis, 3d printing, motion capture, heritage conservation, documentation or any use that you can come up with for the data. 

 

Simply3d employs the use of both structured light scanning and laser metrology scanners in the form of a Go! Scan 50 and a HandyScan 700 [ Performance Specs listed below]. 

 

 

Reverse Engineering

Reverse Engineering is the process that we 3d scan the object to extract the data necessary for the purpose of using the generated data to identifying how it works, enhance the object or utilise the scan data to transorm to a CAD model. 

The accuracy of the creaform environment enables Simply 3d to provide accurate data for the reverse engineering requirements. 

 Portraits

With the ability to capture texture in full colour, Simply 3D is also able to capture a person in full colour in 3d, which we can then get printed in colour as well. Creating a keepsake for a long time to come.  Alternatively, if you are producing a movie and/or tv show we can scan the actor so that they can be digitised for CGI purposes. 

 Heritage Preservation

Our Heritage is important as it is very fragile. Having the ability to document our heritage in a digital manner for safe storage or possible reproduction in the event of a disaster will help help foster peace of mind that steps have been taken to preserve the path that was trodden before us.
